Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TetherSpot, LLC (“Tether,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Tether application and related services (the “Service”) available at tetherspot.com.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Tether is a workspace for intentional relationship building. The Service allows you to identify and cultivate meaningful professional and personal connections through goal-linked contact management, AI-coached email outreach, reply tracking, and optional cohort-based accountability groups.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using Tether, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You may not create an account using false or misleading information, or create multiple accounts for the purpose of abusing the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send unsolicited bulk email, spam, or automated messages
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
• Use the Service for any purpose other than genuine, personal relationship building
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Tether is designed for intentional, one-to-one relationship building. Using the Service for mass outreach, lead generation, sales automation, or marketing campaigns is a violation of these Terms and grounds for account termination.

Email Integration

The Service allows you to connect your Gmail or Microsoft Outlook account for sending emails and detecting replies. When you connect an email account:

• You authorize Tether to send emails on your behalf only when you explicitly initiate a send action within the application
• You authorize Tether to poll for reply messages in email threads you initiated through the Service
• You remain solely responsible for the content of all emails sent through Tether
• You agree to comply with all applicable email and communication laws

You may disconnect your email account at any time from your Tether settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how email data is accessed, used, and stored.

AI Coaching Features

The Service includes AI-powered coaching (“Guide”) that assists you in composing outreach emails through Socratic questioning. Guide provides suggestions and frameworks — it does not write emails for you.

AI coaching outputs are provided as-is for your consideration. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before sending. Tether does not guarantee that following AI coaching suggestions will produce any particular outcome.

Cohorts and Community Features

Tether may offer cohort-based programs and community features such as pods (small accountability groups). Participation in these features is voluntary and opt-in. When you join a cohort or pod:

• Limited activity data (such as reach-out counts, streaks, and milestones) may be visible to other group members
• Your contact details, notes, and email content are never shared with other users
• You agree to treat other members with respect and to keep any shared information confidential

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, content, and branding, is owned by TetherSpot, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

Content you create within the Service (notes, emails, contact information) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Fees and Payment

Tether may offer both free and paid tiers. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees. We will notify you of any fee changes in advance. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your access to paid features.

Refund policies, if applicable, will be disclosed at the time of purchase.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using the Service, including the success of any relationship-building efforts.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TETHERSPOT, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@tetherspot.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
